About Mohammed Ladak
I am currently working as a Maths AST at The Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough and have been teaching for over 12 years. I am still just as passionate about the teaching and learning of mathematics as I was when I was an NQT. If teaching mathematics wasn’t my job, it would be my hobby!
I have been lucky enough to have had a varied experience in my career so far, having been a lead teacher for KS3 and KS5 and held responsibility for gifted and talented students as well as whole school responsibility for the implementation of interactive whiteboards. I have taught mathematics from KS2 through to KS5 including Further Mathematics. I have been working as an AST for the past 7 years, 5 of which have been in a very large mathematics department (21 enthusiastic and talented teachers!)
About MathedUp!
MathedUp! was first launched in 2006 as a way to share some of my ideas and resources with other teachers. It proved to be popular and I maintained it regularly for the next few years. However, a change of job, new priorities and less free time meant that I was unable to keep it up to date for the past few years. The website got old and stale and it had been on my radar for a while to give it a fresh look and update it with more up to date and relevant content. I have now relaunched it and over the coming months, I will be adding more and more resources and ideas so that it can grow into a useful resource for other teachers, as well as be used by students as an independent study tool.
